Course Description

The aim of children’s services is to convey a pleasure of reading to children from infants to young adult age. In this course, you will deepen your understanding of the role of library services for children, and learn how to select suitable books for readers based on the theory of child development. You will obtain skills such as reading, storytelling, booktalk from instructor’s demonstration and your practice. You are expected to prepare for class by reading and comparing many children's books.
