Course Description

In this course, students are expected to improve their four English language skills and acquire English communication skills as they learn about the history and culture of the United Kingdom and Ireland. The instructor lived in Durham, UK, for 5 years and a half and hopes to further increase students' interest in the UK by using photos and other materials from Durham and other parts of the UK.
In each class session, we will go through Warm-up Exercise, First Viewing, Second Viewing, Speaking, Photo Exercise, and Writing in order according to the textbook. Pair-work, group presentations, and individual presentations will be included in the class activities.
