Course Description

This class aims to provide students with a multifaceted understanding of the liberal arts, which are prerequisites for studying Japanese culture.There are customs that we casually perform in our daily lives, and knowledge and ways of thinking that we have learned from our family members without realizing it. Folklore is the study of explaining the culture of our life in the modern age, using these naturally acquired actions, knowledge, and ideas that have been handed down from generation to generation as materials.In this class, we will study Japanese culture from various perspectives through specific customs and events to see how our knowledge and ideas are manifested in our actions.
