Course Description

Cultural heritage is a precious legacy created by our ancestors and passed down to us today. For a variety of reasons, however, many cultural sites, including UNESCO World Heritage Sites, are threatened with destruction or extinction. We will take the Bamiyan site as a concrete example to understand the current situation, what is being done to protect it, and how we can pass on our precious cultural heritage to the future. We will also invite experts in the field of cultural heritage protection as external speakers to discuss what can be done to protect cultural heritage.
