Course Description

Globalization is progressing rapidly in various fields. Knowledge of the politics and economics of other countries and understanding of their cultures will thus be essential factors in Japan's future role in the international community. This class will focus on the geography, history, culture, and current economic conditions and industries of Europe (especially Western Europe) as the necessary background for analyzing news about Europe.
