Course Description

One cannot talk about Japanese culture without mentioning "clothing, food, and housing," the standards of human life.
In this lecture, we will focus on "housing" among them. What does it mean to "live"? What is "home"? From an environmentalist perspective, we will first confirm the topographical location of the places where human beings live, and then we will consider the nature of Japan as "climate" and confirm Tokyo from a kogeographical viewpoint.
