Course Description

　In this lecture, we will examine the history of about 50 years after the establishment of the Han dynasty in ancient China. Liu Bang 劉邦 overthrew Xiang Yu 項羽 and founded the Han dynasty. However, only 50 years later, the Rebellion of the Seven States of Wu Ch’u 呉楚七国の乱 broke out, and the Han dynasty was divided into two powers. In order to find out it’s cause, this lecture will consider the following two points based on the latest research results. What was the national structure of the Han dynasty? How did it change?
