Course Description

This class is intended for those who are interested in "development financing in emerging market economies (especially Asia)" and/or want to write his or her master's thesis on the related topics. The participants will learn about the role of financial activities in economic development from macroeconomic perspectives the role of financial activities in economic growth) and microeconomic perspectives (activities of individual entities such as banks, stock markets, companies, and households). The participants will also learn basic analysis methods using concrete examples.
