Course Description

Historical era since ancient times have been built mainly on the history of literature, but with the introduction of archaeological methods for ruins and relics, it has become possible to clarify society, daily life, and daily life as the actual conditions of people who lived in the past, and to draw a richer social image. In this way, the aim of this class is to understand the characteristics and basic frameworks of historical archaeology, interdisciplinary methodologies, research methods, and theories. Here, we develop the ability to handle, think, and conduct research on their own historical materials, mainly using various themes from ancient times to early modern times as research materials. In addition, we will pay attention to a variety of historical materials and strive to cultivate a wide range of thinking skills.
