Course Description

The concept of cultural heritage and the philosophy of its protection have gradually developed over time. In this class, topics related to the ongoing "protection of cultural heritage" in Japan and abroad will be discussed and understood through characteristic examples. The objective of this class is to enable students to understand how the concept of cultural heritage has changed as a result of changes in world history and social values.
