Course Description

In this lecture, we will mainly focus on the conservation of historical buildings and historical townscapes. Through this lecture, students will learn how cultural heritage in Japan and abroad is protected, including the Japanese Law for the Protection of Cultural Properties, various frameworks for the protection of cultural properties in Japan and the system of the World Cultural Heritage.
