授業の概要（ねらい）

現在、グローバル化 (globalization) が進む中、国際関係は各問題を世界的に理解するための重要なテーマであり、グローバル視点が必要とされています。この授業では、国々の政治、経済、社会や文化はどのように成立し、影響しあっているのかを学修します。国家間のみならず、個人レベルでどのように国際交流がなされているのかを考えていきます。また、いくつかの例を挙げ、国際関係を柔軟的・創造的に再考します。春学期において、グループ・アクティビティを通じて、既存の理論を理解し、国際関係についてのディスカッションを行います。

As the world has become more globalized, international relations has become a more important theme to understand as well as comprehending each issue globally. This class provides the insight of the ways in which politics, economy, society and culture has been interacted globally. It also encourages students to think more flexibly and creatively about international relations. As for the spring semester, this course allows students to familiarize existing theories and discussion about international relations through group activities.

教科書・参考文献

準備学修の内容

・教科書や配布された資料(例、英語のニュース記事) を事前に読み、与えられた課題を提出する
・プレゼンテーション準備（資料調査、スライド の作成、原稿の作成）

・Read the textbook and/or materials beforehand (e.g. English news articles) and submit the assignments when given
・Presentation preparation (research, PPT slides, script)

その他履修上の注意事項

・主な使用言語は英語（資料、ディスカッション、リフレクション・ペーパー）
・特別な理由がない限り、時間通りにすべての授業に出席しなければならない
・授業数の3分の１以上欠席すると、不合格になる。また、2回遅刻したものを1回の欠席としてみなす
・15分以上遅刻の場合、「欠席」としてみなす。

・This class is conducted mostly in English (materials, discussion, reflection papers)
・Except for special reasons, you need to attend all classes punctually and regularly.
・Missing more than one third of the total number of classes will result in a failing grade for the course. Also, two late arrivals are considered one absence.
・If you are late for more than 15 minutes, you will be considered “absent” for the class.
