授業の概要（ねらい）

As the world has become more globalized, international relations has become a more important theme to understand as well as comprehending each issue globally. This course provides the insight of the ways in which politics, economy, society and culture has been interacted globally. It also encourages students to think more flexibly and creatively about international relations. As for the autumn semester, this course allows students to familiarize and discuss existing relevant literature.
現在、グローバル化が進む中、国際関係は各問題を世界的に理解するための重要なテーマであり、グローバル視点が必要とされている。本授業では、国々の政治、経済、社会や文化はどのように成立し、影響しあっているのかを学修する。国家間のみならず、個人レベルにおける国際関係を考えていく。また、いくつかの例を挙げ、国際関係を柔軟的・創造的に再考します。秋学期において、既存の国際関係に関する文献を読み、ディスカッションを行う。

準備学修の内容

・Read the assigned reading materials beforehand and submit the assignments when given (further detailed instruction is provided in each class) 教科書や配布された資料を事前に読み、与えられた課題を提出する（授業毎に詳細な指示をする）
・Presentation preparation (research, PPT slides, script)　プレゼンテーション準備（資料調査、スライドの作成、原稿の作成）

その他履修上の注意事項

・This course is conducted mostly in English (materials, discussion, reflection papers) 主な使用言語は英語（資料、ディスカッション、リフレクション・ペーパー）。
・Except for special reasons, you need to attend all classes punctually and regularly. 特別な事情がない限り、全ての授業に時間通りに出席すること。
・Missing more than one third of the total number of classes will result in a failing grade for the course. Also, two late arrivals are considered one absence. 授業数の3分の１以上欠席すると、不合格になる。また、2回遅刻したものを1回の欠席としてみなす。
・If you are late for more than 15 minutes, you will be considered “absent” for the class. 15分以上遅刻の場合、「欠席」としてみなす。
