Course Description

The content of this lecture will be divided into three stages. First, let's review the whole picture of the world economy from an international comparison perspective. At this time, the related economic terms will be explained simply so that students who are not the Faculty of Economics can understand. Next, we take up countries that have been talked about in recent years as case countries, and consider and analyze overseas economic circumstances and events together. Lastly, starting from Japan, rather than emotionally speaking about Japan-US relations, Japan-China relations, and Japan-South Korea relations, they understand not only the economic field but also the differences between each other, and have been handed over to the media and other commentaries. Without, we will discuss.
In this course, students will study DP1.Some contents of this course are based on practical experience.

Course Objectives

Students will be able to know the flow and movement of the world economy and broaden their horizons.The goal is to deepen the understanding of a diverse society through communication between students, without emotional or media-based commentary.

Grading Policy

Efforts during the lecture (20%), degree of completion of the work in the lecture (30%), Summary and report in the lecture on the last day (50%)

Requirements(Assignments)

Preparation:About 30 minutes
You will be asked to review newspaper articles and news about the world economy, organize the contents, and have them introduced in class or submitted as paper.

Review:About 1 hour
・ Review so that you can understand economic terminology and explain it to others.
・ Create unfinished assignments in class.
・ Organize the results of group work and communication, organize them yourself, and use them in your year-end reports.
