Course Description

The relation between transportation and economy will be analyzed examining the historical change of Japan's domestic and international transportation. The contribution of transportation to regional society/economy will be also discussed. This class relates to DP1.

Course Objectives

The students will get an essential knowledge of understanding the relation between transportation and regional economy from the history of domestic/international transportation and the case studies on the selected regions.

Grading Policy

Term examination (60%), short tests, short reports, discussions in the class (40% in total).
