Course Description

The changes of Economic geography after 1945
This program is to clear the process of the Regional Systems in japan after 1945,
Using 4 period, as follows. First is period of reconstruction,1945~1955, which have energy revolution and the priority production system. Second is period of high rate economic growth,1956~1973, which have the pacific Belt of heavy and oil chemical industry. Third is middle rate economic growth,1974~1990, have relocation system of industry to local area for getting labor. Forth is period of low rate economic growth,1991~, have aging with a declining birthrate and Concentration of population to Tokyo region.

Course Objectives

Understanding the process of the Regional Systems in japan after 1945,
Especially, Recognizing the reason why the Concentration of population to Tokyo region
Is made.
