Course Description

In this course, we study the European and American history to acquire the following abilities:
1. Give the students an understanding of the “universality beyond history” and “diversity due to the history” of human beings.
2. On the basis of this “universality” and “diversity”, gain the ability to understand the realities of the world including Japan, and the ability to foresee the future.
3. Each student to establish her/his own historical perspective on development of the society and how to behave in this society.
This course is related to Diploma Policy 1.

Course Objectives

This course aims to acquire the following skills by writing reports.
1. Skills in obtaining and classifying information for study
2. Skills in analyzing and discerning the gathered information
3. Skills in writing the analyzed results correctly and effectively
