Course Description

We will discuss how the NPOs and NGOs take root and play what roles in Japan and overseas from the viewpoint of both theory and exercises. We will decide on themes and literature on nonprofit organizations such as NPOs and NGOs according to the intent of the students and will read and discuss them.If the arrangement can be made, two lectures and workshops on practical cases of NPOs and NGOs will be held by inviting external lecturers. In this course, you will acquire knowledge and attitudes on the policy (degree of diploma policy) DP1 and DP2, especially for the Division of Regional Economics and Policy.

Course Objectives

By deepening your understanding of the activities of NPOs and NGOs in the regional societies from both the theory and practical perspective, you can acquire the ability to progress ourselves on solving the problems of the regional societies in the present age.

Grading Policy

It will be evaluated by 50% of the usual points and 50% of the issues such as the report.

Requirements(Assignments)

Every time, work on assigned assignments and summarize the results in presentation materials and participate in class. After class, please make a summary of the contents of the question-and-answer in the presentation by word and notebook (3 hours).

Note

In the first class, you will be asked questions about interests and interests concerning NPOs and NGOs. Therefore, please collect information on NPOs and NGOs and clarify your interests and interests and come to the class.
