Course Description

This class teaches you how to read, understand, and write the academic papers dealing with musculoskeletal system disorders. The students would learn at first about basic structure of the manuscripts and then learn general analytical methods including the epidemiological and statistical analysis. Standard methods popularly utilized in musculoskeletal system research would also be learned. During the course, the students are encouraged to participate in some academic conferences other than this class, and to write a report that summarized the information obtained by the participation.

Course Objectives

To be able to explain how the academic papers are written in standard style.
To be able to explain the methods of musculoskeletal researches.
To be able to discuss about the topics in musculoskeletal researches.

Grading Policy

Writing examination (80%), Participation in academic conferences and the Reports (20%)
