Course Description

In human history, medicine has been made in various occasions, and progressed into its present form with various events. In this lesson, you will learn how medicine has been born and developed in a long history of human being, encouraging you to imagine how medical care should be in the future. At the end of the lecture course, students will take part in a self-reliant approach to conducting presentation exercises, considering our mission in modern medicine from the perspective of medical history.

Course Objectives


(1) To understand the origin and development of medicine in human history.
(2) Understand the historical events that have developed medicine and their significance.
(3) Foster your own thoughts on our future medical care.

Grading Policy


Evaluation will be based on small tests (20%), presentations (20%), and examinations (60%).
Those who have obtained more than 60% of the total will be accepted.
Students who do not attend more than 2/3 of the total number of classes will not be evaluated.
