Course Description

　In this lecture (fall semester), the students will consider the future of tourism-related industries and tourism regions by tracing the transformation of tourism, including tourism behavior. Specifically, the lecture will consist of three themes: (1) modernization process and tourism - continuing efforts for international tourism, (2) national land development and tourism - development toward maturity of tourism, and (3) regional development and tourism - search for new tourism in regions.
This summative lecture will provide hints for thinking about the future of tourism, tourism businesses and tourism regions.
