Course Description

The joruri play "Tsubosaka Reihenki," established in the early Meiji period (1868-1912), became so popular that it is still performed repeatedly today.
In this lecture, we will learn about the characteristics of each genre by tracing the process by which "Tsotsusaka Reihenki" was first performed in various performing arts. In this lecture, we will learn about the characteristics of each genre by following the process by which "Tsubosaka Reikenki" was taken up by various performing arts.
