Course Description

　The Joruri play "Tsubosaka Reikenki," which was established in the early Meiji period (1868-1912), became very popular and is still performed repeatedly today.
　In this lecture, we will examine the various aspects of religious literature, its relationship with people, and the changes in the plot as it was transformed into dramatic literature by following the process by which the religious literature was incorporated into the world of performing arts.
